The team started late this year, and waited until May before our first demonstration of the season. With unseasonably hot weather, it was nevertheless, a good exercise, with thousands of visitors coming to visit Matsumoto Castle.
This year, the team had two new samurai gunners and two new ashigaru. The samurai formed the zamazutsu time for their first live demonstration, with Gun Samurai's (https://www.instagram.com/gun.samurai) father in law, donning full armour for the first time after five years with the troops.
With no additional time to train, the team will be heading to Takashima Castle next week.
